More than just exceptional Muay Thai instruction and training, more than a great group of training partners, the Sityodtong LA camp provides experiences that a Muay Thai fanatic can only dream of. Today (Tuesday, August 30, 2011), Sityodtong LA hosted an open workout session for the fighters of the September 2nd MuayThai Premier League fight. With only 72 hours until fight day, these fighters are in the most savage-rip-your-head-off condition as they can get.
I’m not sure if I was more nervous, excited, or just plain feeling like an old cougar waiting at the red carpet to see Justin Beiber. Regardless, I got to the gym an hour early just in case. There will be videos to come, but here are a few pictures I took with my little s90.
Kru and Yodsanklai, with Ernesto Hoost in the background!
Simon Marcus had some crazy superman elbows:
Julie Kitchen, fully ripped:
And of course, Buakaw Por. Pramuk!
I have more pictures, but they all came out even crappier than above. As I had said, this was shot on my S90 with following settings: F2, +0, ISO between 1600 – 2500. What can I do to make pics look better besides framing them and focusing on the right subject? Do I need a SLR?
I’m absolutely blown away witnessing the speed and power of these super-human athletes in real life. To see this type of performance with so many big names in one small location all at one time was quite surreal. Thanks again to Kru Walter Micahlowski for getting the fighters of the MuayThai Premier League to come out!!!
